Base Vehicle

The Gavia Base Vehicle is a minimum configuration AUV platform and consists of nose, battery, control, and propulsion modules. Other expansion payloads in the form of modules and sensors can be added to this base platform in order to provide additional capability.

The Gavia Base vehicle is equipped as standard with Fluxgate Compass, GPS (DGPS for Offshore Surveyor) WLAN and Iridium connection as well as a ruggedized laptop PC for controlling the vehicle.

Fully assembled the Gavia vehicle weighs from 49 kg with an overall length from 1.80 meters and a diameter of 200mm.
